Bespoke training

All Academic Mentors are expertly trained and certified through our online bespoke course with Liverpool Hope University.

Teaching experience

Acts as an excellent route into teaching and education, being an Academic Mentor gives first-hand experience in the classroom.

Competitive salary

The role offers a £19,000 to £21,000 salary dependent on experience and qualifications, with a great paid holiday allowance.

Ongoing CPD and an excellent aftercare programme with a dedicated recruitment partner.

What qualifications are required?

  • minimum of three A-levels at A*-C grade (or equivalent)
  • minimum of a grade 4 in English and Maths at GCSE level
  • the right to work in the UK

What does it mean to be an Academic Mentor?

  • working with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in the school to identify the support each pupil needs
  • identify learning gaps and help create bespoke intervention programmes for pupils
  • developing and delivering engaging sessions with clear learning objectives, considering any barriers to learning or additional needs
  • delivering measurable outcomes from each session to track progress
