Connex Education Partnership has been delivering tuition and intervention programmes for schools since 1999.

Tutors accepted onto our Tuition in Partnership” programme hold QTS and recent classroom experience as a minimum and have completed our mandated Tutor Preparedness” induction.

Tutoring sessions are aligned to normal classroom teaching and delivered on school premises or online across much of the UK.

Participating schools have access to our secure access interventions portal and a dedicated school liaison manager.

Our bespoke L&D platform delivers tutoring specific upskilling and professional development to ensure consistently high quality intervention outcomes.

How many pupils and schools can we work with?

30,000 pupils in 2,000 schools.

NOTE: This provider offers tutoring online and in-person in certain areas. Enquire below to find out whether in-person tuition is available in your area.

Who are our tutors?

Our tutors have QTS, recent experience teaching and tutoring the subjects and year groups they’ll tutor and have completed our mandated tutoring induction.

How do we recruit our tutors?

Our tutor recruitment process complies with all required vetting & checks as per Safer Recruitment guidelines and REC audited education, comprising without exception: face to face interview, application form, enhanced DBS including overseas check if appropriate, TRA prohibition and Barred List checks as well as referencing.

How do we train our tutors?

As a minimum our tutors hold QTS and recent classroom experience. Prior to acceptance on our programme each completes a mandated Tutor Preparedness” induction, including: safeguarding, SEND, tutoring essentials, online tutoring, engaging reluctant learners, adapting planned lessons. Once on programme our tutors receive ongoing CPD and regular upskilling webinars.

How will we communicate with you?

We employ dedicated school liaison managers who will be in regular contact throughout the tuition blocks. Additionally schools and teachers have secure access to our Tutoring & Interventions portal allowing school, classroom teacher and tutor to communicate regularly on pupils progress and a date stamped record of tutoring sessions delivered.

How will we keep track of pupil progress?

We use any available internal school data on programme entry and exit. This is captured in a pre-intervention document and sessions are mapped against this and observations recorded post session. We can align to school systems or adapt our monitoring process via our secure access tutoring portal.
