We currently provide tuition programmes in schools across all subjects at KS3, KS4 and KS5, and are at the forefront of knowledge, both regarding the ever-changing syllabi and the needs of our pupils.

To ensure we the most enthusiastic and engaging tutors, Manning’s has an extensive three stage interview process, with only 1 in 7 applicants gaining a position. Hand-picked tutors ensure that their passion for a subject translates to enjoyable learning and academic attainment.

How many pupils and schools can we work with?

5,600 pupils in 69 schools.

NOTE: This provider offers tutoring online and in-person in certain areas. Enquire below to find out whether in-person tuition is available in your area.

Who are our tutors?

Our tutors are predominantly university undergraduates who have achieved grades A/A* in their A Levels.

How do we recruit our tutors?

Applicants to Manning’s are subject to a 3‑stage interview process:

  • Written/video application
  • Online 1‑to‑1 interview
  • Group interview including requirement to present a complex topic to a GCSE” audience

Successful applicants then undergo ID, referencing, right to work and DBS checks before entering our training programme.

How do we train our tutors?

All our tutors are trained by Qualified Tutor’. Over a four week period tutors participate in a live, collaborative CPD-accredited course consisting of 8 hours live workshops plus 4 weekly tasks. Tutors then have lessons observed over the year and receive feedback to embed and enhance their initial training.

How will we communicate with you?

Each school receives a dedicated Manning’s school liaison officer who will schedule regular review meetings throughout your 15-hour programme. They can also be reached easily by phone or email in office hours.

Schools also receive access to our TutorCruncher software allowing them to review attendance and reports on individual lessons.

How will we keep track of pupil progress?

We request schools to provide pupil attainment data at three points throughout the tuition scheme: prior to commencing, near to the midpoint, and at the end of the programme. We will review this data and share progress reports with the school.
