Annually we provide over a million sessions of 1:1 support ranging from teaching subjects such as maths, English and science to 1:1 support for children and young people with mental health issues or SPLD’s. Nationally we provide support across 4,500 schools and 400+ Universities and Colleges plus work in partnership with 85 local authorities, supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people across the country.

Who are our tutors?

Tutors hold QTS and/​or experience in tuition as well as subject specific teaching experience, history of working on a 1:1 or 1:3 basis.

How do we recruit our tutors?


Randstad’s recruitment processes comply with the standards and requirements of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 and the Immigration & Asylum Act 2006. The recruitment process includes a pre-screen call, face-to-face interview consisting of competency-based questions in line with SAFE recruitment and referencing in line with KCSIE.

How do we train our tutors?

Tutors access accredited training including; PREVENT, Safeguarding, H&S and Covid Awareness plus specific tuition guidance including; What is the role of a Tutor, how to structure and adapt tuition plus supporting SEN. Additionally, Tutors access further CPD to promote positive outcomes.

How will we communicate with you?

Dedicated website offering information on: services, processes, training, and referral portal. A central tuition team supports our regional hubs, each containing a school partnerships manager. The schools partnerships managers will be a single point of contact, responsible for school liaison, referrals, matching tutors to pupils and checking pupil progression and engagement.

How will we keep track of pupil progress?


Randstad offer an online school tuition referral portal for requests. We use OPUS”, an online session tracking platform to record which Tutor is supporting which pupil, when and for how long. OPUS tracks session content, engagement and progression and is available to schools to view tuition session notes 24/7.
