Influenced, inspired and informed by the work of leading maths researchers and practitioners across the world, White Rose Maths brings together a team of highly experienced and passionate maths teaching experts to train, guide, help and support all those who want to make change happen in their schools.

Our schemes of learning and additional resources are used by thousands of schools around the world, including over 80% of primary schools in England. We are based inside a high performing school multi-academy Trust in Yorkshire. We have experience of delivering high quality tuition to both primary and secondary pupils

How many pupils and schools can we work with?

3,000 pupils in 220 schools.

NOTE: This provider offers tutoring online and in-person in certain areas. Enquire below to find out whether in-person tuition is available in your area.

Who are our tutors?

The majority of our tutors are aspiring or experienced SLEs, primary or secondary teachers of maths or specially trained graduates.

How do we recruit our tutors?

Many of our tutors already work with White Rose Maths. We have a rigorous selection and training process for new starters. Quality is key for us. It’s important that our tutors have a strong mathematical background and ideally have spent time in schools that are teaching maths for mastery.

How do we train our tutors?

Our tutors have in-depth training on each of the sessions that they deliver. New tutors would first work with our experienced White Rose Maths team and be immersed in one of our partner schools. We pride ourselves on using the methods and our materials that pupils use in schools.

How will we communicate with you?

For this project we have a lead tutor who will be the key person communicating with you and your school. They are there to ensure your pupils get the very best out of the programme and ensure it runs smoothly. You will be kept regularly informed of how the programme is going

How will we keep track of pupil progress?

We can provide an initial baseline assessment for children to complete before the tutoring. This will help ensure the lessons are focussed on the content. Each session the tutors will complete feedback forms on what they have covered and regular progress reports will be provided for class teachers.
